Washing Powder

We've all seen it on Pintetest Homemade Washing Powder
Well today with the help of my trusty sidekick Jade and this recipe I made some.
Here's the recipe:
2 Kgs of Borax
2 Kgs of Baking Soda
1.5 Kgs of Washing Soda
2 Kgs of Napisan
3 bars of Laundry Soap

I found everything at the supermarket very easily.

First grate up the soap. This will take roughly eons

Finally when we're old and grey it's done
Jade and I bought 5.5l containers to put ours in, so we've split the recipe in half.

Soap in

Borax in

Napisan in

Washing soda in

Baking soda in

All layered up

Then mix it for almost as long as it took you to grate the cheese soap and you're done.
Use one tablespoon per load.
I'll let you know how it goes!
Hop Tips:
• put the soap in last, it's a major pain in the beep trying to get it off the bottom.
• grate the cheese soap in a food processor
• don't try shake your container to mix it up, it WILL spill.
• definitely share some with your sister because it makes tons!!!

Nitty Gritty:
From Coles
Lectric washing soda 1kg $3.59 each x2
Velvet pure soap 500grams $3.03
Borax 500gram $4.11 x4
Coles ultra booster 1kg $4.00 x2
Baking soda roughly 1kg $6-8
(didn't keep the receipt for the baking soda)

Total $34.43 (roughly)
